Taxonomy In the trees (COI, 28S, 18S) of Díaz et al. (2025), Cymbastela species group with high support in the Bubarida; including the type species of the genus (C. stipitata) in the 28S tree. It was proposed to move Cymbastela to a Bubarida incertae sedis group for now. Cymbastela coralliophila however should be eventually moved to the order Vilesida (cf. Díaz et al., 2025) but since we have no clear genus to welcome C. coralliophila yet, it is left here temporarily with the rest of the Cymbastela. [details]
