Synonymy Hadiyanto & Glasby (2023) follow Hutchings & Turvey (1982) and Wilson (1985) in regarding Nereis heirissonensis as a valid species. Formerly, it was considered a subjective synonym of N. jacksoni by Fauvel (1932, 1953), Hartman (1954), Fauchald (1977) and Hartmann-Schröder (1983). [details]From other sources
