Nomenclature Reiswig & Wheeler (2002) suspect that Farrea infundibularis Carter, 1873 is a synonym of Pararete farreopsis. If that is correct, the name infundibularis is senior to farreopsis and hence Pararete infundibularis should be the accepted name. This requires further investigation of actual specimens. [details]
