Description Close-up of apical system with adjacent ambulacra and interambulacra: The apical plates are densely covered with small, short spines. The scrobicular spines encircling the base of the primary spines are much larger than the marginal spines in the ambulacra. The interporiferous zone is filled by very short miliary spines. Neither in the ambulacra nor in the interambulacra is a bare zone left at the midline.
