Description Shape of primary spines: a. The primary spines are set with thorns, but a distinct basal disc is lacking: Goniocidaris (Goniocidaris) tubaria b. The spines are set only with a pair of spurs at the base of the shaft: Goniocidaris (Goniocidaris) umbraculum
