Santonian), Lerida Prov., Spain. 1, Longitudinal axial section, intersecting beams only at the margins of the section and showing single median aperture in early chambers and cribrate trematophore in later ones, x 100; 2, specimen in glycerine viewed in reflected light, x 35; 3, apertural view showing many openings in the trematophore, SEM, x 70; 4, 5, longitudinal sections of the concave sided test, center of fig. 5 nearly tangential and intersecting many short vertical beams, but margins of the section intersect the undivided part, deeper cut section of fig. 4 intersects fewer beams, both x 25; 6, side view, SEM, x 50; 7, transverse section, showing short thick radial beams projecting inward from the flat sides of the test, x 100; 8, longitudinal section cutting the open central lumen of the chambers, x 25; 9, transverse section intersecting the arching trematophore near the center and opening into the chamber Iumen at the test angles, radial beams intersected at upper right of figure, x 100 (1, 3-7, 9, from Loeblich and Tappan, 1986).
