Cretaceous, Lerida Prov., Spain (1-3, 5, L. Santonian; 6, 7, U. Santonian). 1, 3, Spiral sides showing strongly overlapping crescentic chambers and oblique sutures, x 50; 2, umbilical side showing slightly curved, nearly radial sutures, x 50; 4, 5, shallow horizontal section showing many radial beams but only rare connecting rafters, as in the lower left side of the figure, but without the prominent reticulate meshwork of Dictyopsella, entire section, x 85, and half of section enlarged, x 100; 6, deep horizontal section of pyrite-filled specimen showing many elongate thin radial beams, x 100; 7, deep horizontal section showing four orders of radial beams, shorter ones intercalated between Ionger ones, and with rare cross partitions or rafters at the extreme right side of the figure (1-3, 5-7, from Loeblich and Tappan, 1985).
