All specimens from sample MA 15, Pla d’Escumò section, level of Lacazina pyrenaica, Lower Santonian. 1: equatorial section. 2: holotype, axial section. 3: oblique section near center inclined at about 30° relative to the coiling axis. 4: subaxial section showing layered structure of umbos. 5: oblique section inclined at about 60° relative to the coiling axis, Note the areas cut parallel to the alar septal face on upper left revealing the basic structural pattern in the alae. 6: oblique centered section inclined at about 45° relative to the coiling axis. 7. oblique section with an inclination of about 70° relative to the coiling axis. Below an oblique section of “Pseudorotalia schaubi” HOTTINGER. 8: section tangential to umbo. 9, 10: almost centered oblique sections near to the axial plane.11: axial section of recrystallized shell where only the umbos are preserved. 12-14: more or less inclined oblique sections illustrating the relative constance of the proportions of the shell.
