Description (1–3) from Ferme de l’Orme, Paris Basin and (4) from Bois Gouet (Bretagne), Middle Eocene, Lutetian. (1) Axial section. (2–3) Oblique sections. (4) Section perpendicular to coiling axis; note the development of heavy papillae forming umbilical papillae on the ventral surface of the chambers. Abbreviations: f foramen, up umbilical plate, ump umbilical piles, spc spiral canal, p pores, per periph- ery, foa foliar aperture, fea feathering of interlocular space, fol folia, sf septal flap, isp intraseptal space (From Hottinger, 2014).
