Taxonomic remark From the original description and illustrations (Vosseler 1889, p. 155, PI. 8, figs. 8-14) it is, in my opinion, apparent that he had actually described Lysianassa martensi Goes, 1865. This, unfortunately, cannot be confirmed since the type material in all probability was lost during the last war (Drs G. Hartmann, Hamburg, H. Gruner, Berlin, G. Mickoleit, Tiibingen, pers. comm.).
