Grammatical gender Sasekumaria is formed from the name of Mr A. Sasekumar, a Malaysian, thus not Latin or Greek. Rullier does not state the gender and it is not possible to determine the gender from the species name, a Malaysian placename, appearing to be a noun in apposition. The conservative assumption therefore is that the gender is to be treated as masculine (Art.30.2) by indication (named after a male person). [details]
