Classification Created as tribe Amagini by Holthe (1986) for Amage, Amagopsis and six other genera (Mexamage, Grubianella, Emaga, Egamella, Paramage and Samythopsis. Stiller et al (2020) raised its rank to subfamily and included Amage, Amagopsis, and Amphisamytha in it. Holthe had not classified Amphisamytha to a tribe. [details]
