Diagnosis Thalassometra with cirri 45 mm long, with 57+ cirrals, in 10 columns. Brachitaxes ossicles and proximal brachials with margins less strongly everted than in T. hirsuta with coarser, more uniform spines, and with similar spines more thickly distributed aborally; midaboral carination more rounded and studded with spines similar to those of the aboral surface.
