Diagnosis Original diagnosis by Ehlers (1908): ''Lang fadenförmig, gleichmäßig gegliedert; Kopflappen mit unpaarem Scheitelfühler. Parapodien mit dorsalen und ventralen Höckern, mit einfachen Capillarborsten und in den hinteren Segmenten mit Nadeln, mit einfachen Rückencirren und in beschränkter Zahl vorderer Segmente mit dorsalen Kiemen.''
