Authority Apparently a manuscript name of Duclos inadvertently validated by Spry (1961). Spry listed "brunnea (Pease)" as another identify of the taxon he treated, and since that is a synonym of M. fastigium, Strigatella nitilina is also treated as a synonym. [details]
