Description Phaceloid corallum with cylindrical corallites. Thick pachythecal wall, no costae. Radial elements compact, free, diversified into cardinal septum and remaining cuneiform, equal and short septa. Hexameral symmetry and bilateral symmetry marked by cardinal septum with rhombic adaxial enlargement. Endotheca made of tabulae, no columella, no synapticulae. Type of multiplication not observed. [details]

Status The genus was considered junior synonym of Pleurophyllia by Stolarski and Russo 2001. It is kept distinct here.
