Original description Description. Test globular, coiling much variable independently to position of aperture; chambers spherical, growing so rapidly that later chambers tend to envelop the earlier ones; aperture very low arched and weakly rimmed, at the base of last chamber, not always above the junction of last chamber and the penultimate two chambers. Remarks. This new genus differs from Sphaeroidina in showing more rapid growth of chambers through the life and also more variable coiling as shown by the position of aperture which is not restricted above the junction of the ultimate and two penultimate chambers. This mode of morphology suggests a final step of Sphaeroidina evolutionary lineage and theretofore a genus name, Eusphaeroidina, is given.
