Identification Cells are ovoid, lemon- or teardrop shaped. 29-45 µm long and 16-30 µm wide. The most characteristic morphological feature is probably the structure of the surface, which is covered with numerous small globules/granules. For safe identification a molecular study is recommended. The following data of the material from the type locality are available
