Toxopneustes roseus (globiferous pedicellariae)
Description Stalked globiferous pedicellariae: There are two kinds: A small number of large ones (yellowish) and numerous smaller ones (whitish). In both the valves are connected by a thin skin. They are equipped with poison glands on their stalks and long, sharp hooks at the ends of the valves. The smaller pedicellariae are usually widely open, the purplish leaf-shaped pattern at the bottom being visible.
