Homonymy Secondary homonym of Voluta jaspidea Gmelin, 1791. The name was replaced by Oliva duclosi, when both species were placed in Oliva. The replacement name is not in use, however, as the species was later known as Oliva esiodina Duclos, 1844. Under ICZN Article 59.3, the junior secondary homonym shouldn't be rejected because of that replacement. [details]
